  Society News:

MARINA REMOVAL - September 22nd.

A safety meeting will be held promptly at 9:00 am Sept 22nd. Only those attending the safety meeting will be allowed to help with the take-out and only those working at the take-out will be allowed on site. There is machinery at work and it makes it difficult for the operators if spectators are in the vicinity.

No persons under the age of 18 will be allowed to volunteer. Please make sure you sign the sign-in sheet with your name, slip # and lot # to receive your credit for the 2018 take-out. Only one credit per membership. Lunch to follow for all the hard working volunteers.

Quite a few new members have joined the marina society this season,
we hope you have enjoyed your first summer as marina members and welcome aboard.

As a reminder to all our members:
If you help with either the install and/or removal of the marina you receive a $50.00 credit for each and the credit will be applied against next season’s invoice.

The 2019 season invoice will be in the mail on Feb 28th, 2019. Your dues must be paid by Mar 31, 2019. Any payments received after the due date must include an additional $50.00 administration fee - no exceptions.

If you are going to be unable to receive your invoice and make your payment on time, please make prior arrangements. You may issue a post dated cheque or leave a valid credit card on file.

Please remember the society and the resort are two separate entities. If you change information with the resort you must also notify the marina society. It is your responsibility to make sure we are kept up to date.

The marina society holds its Annual General Meeting usually the weekend after the long weekend in May. If your account is paid in full and we have all your information on file you will receive your “year” sticker in your AGM package in May.

This week we would like to give a big thank you to all Carefree Resort staff.

Thanks to the C-Team for keeping the grass cut at the marina and for collecting the recycling and garbage.

Thanks to the girls in the office for card activation, publishing our news item and for sending our members to the appropriate place when they come into the office seeking assistance.  Linda, Lindsay and Arlene you are always so pleasant to deal with and eager to help.

A very huge thank you to Don for all of your support and assistance -always there when help is needed.

Thanks to our security personnel who have kept watch over our marina this summer making sure the regulations are being followed so that everyone would have a pleasant experience.

I would also like to thank the members who volunteered when help was needed. Your Board can’t do it alone.

Lastly, on behalf of myself and all the members, I would like to thank the men of the Marina Board for giving so much of your time and energy in making our marina the best in Alberta. It is really something to be proud of!

Don't forget the web guy Tom Lot 778...
